Morris are competing in the national Culinary Arts Challenge, which is part of the NASA HUNCH(High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware) Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, the Batavia and Mt. Morris teams presented a vegetable or fruit recipe, the recipe criteria was set by NASA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Batavia team presented &#8220;Asparagus Fries&#8221; and the Mt. Morris team served up a Berries and Quinoa Salad to seven judges who are local Chefs in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"900\" height=\"507\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GGyTdJGLzkI?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scores from today are then sent to NASA, Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas and scored against all of the teams from around the United States.  There are a total of 30 teams competing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The teams with the top 10 scores move onto the final round of the competition which will be held in the spring at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The teams will find out their results sometime in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The winning entr\u00e9e will be produced at NASA&#8217;s Johnson Space Lab and sent to the International Space Station for astronauts to enjoy. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two local teams of Culinary Arts students from Batavia and Mt.
