Jacob J. Sponaugle, 20, of Liberty St., Batavia, is charged with introduction of dangerous contraband into prison 1st, criminal facilitation 4th, conspiracy 5th and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th following an investigation into the smuggling of contraband into the Genesee County Jail on January 19, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sponaugle allegedly conspired with others to smuggle contraband items into the jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was arraigned in City Court on April 30, 2019 and jailed on $2,500 cash and $5,000 bond. He re-appeared in Court today at 12:30p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark D. Caufield, 25, of Fisher Rd., Rochester, NY, is charged with criminal possession of marijuana 5th(more than 25 grams), aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 1st, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia 2nd following a traffic offenses complaint on Clinton street in Batavia on April 21, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Caufield was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and was jailed on $2,500 cash or bond bail. He will re-appear in court on May 20, 2019 at 1:00p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
