Jennifer Urvizo-Hanlon, 49, of Batavia, pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, a class D violent felony, in Genesee County Court on Monday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the plea deal, Urvizo-Hanlon will serve an agreed upon sentence of a 2 year determinate prison sentence with 1 1\/2-3 years post release supervision. Post release is at the discretion of the court and she will no longer be able to have a pistol permit and any weapon she currently has must be forfeited. The conviction makes it unlawful for her to own a gun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urvizu-Hanlon was indicted in May of 2018 and was facing two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 2nd charge, a class C violent felony.
She is alleged to have provided the firearm to Samuel Blackshear who used the gun in the shooting of Nathanial D. Wilson who stabbed Terry Toote to death on Central avenue last May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wilson pleaded guilty to second degree murder and is serving a sentence of no more than 20 years to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samuel Blackshear was sentenced to the minimum, 3 1\/2 years in state prison and 2 1\/2 years post release supervision in Genesee County Court in March of 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November, Blackshear pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, a class C felony, in satisfaction of a four count indictment that was handed up in May of 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
