Daskavitz, 21, of Lockport, NY, for criminal possession of marijuana 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, unlawful fleeing a police officer 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, and reckless driving.  Also charged is a passenger, Coreen R. Stewart, 19, of Friendship, NY, she is facing a criminal possession of a controlled substance 7<sup>th<\/sup> charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Troopers attempted to make a traffic stop of Daskavitz\u2019s vehicle on Route 39 in the village of Arcade, at which time Daskavitz failed to comply and began to flee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daskavitz led Troopers on a short pursuit which ended in the parking lot of the Tractor Supply store. During the arrest, Troopers discovered approximately 10.5 ounces of marijuana and its derivatives, and a quantity of several prescription pills for which neither subject possessed a valid prescription. Daskavitz and Stewart were both arrested and transported to SP Machias for processing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both subjects were issued appearance tickets for Arcade Village Court where they are due to appear in later this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">{NOTE:  The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
