Nichole Dacey, 30, of Water St., Perry is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, uninspected motor vehicle, unlicensed operator, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, DWAI\/Drugs and aggravated DWI with a child less than 16 years old\/Leandra’s Law after a traffic stop on North Center street on March 29, 2017 for driving with an expired inspection.<\/p>\n
After an investigation, it was discovered that Dacey’s license was suspended in 2015. After a search of the vehicle, police discovered a hypodermic instrument and a package containing heroin.<\/p>\n
At that time, a 5 year old child was also located in the vehicle.<\/p>\n
The child’s mother, Jessica Ruch, no age or address provide, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child less than 17 and criminal possession of a controlled substance.<\/p>\n
Deputy Aaron Chase of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, a certified drug recognition expert, administered an evaluation of Dacey. According to Deputy Chase, Dacey could not safely operate a motor vehicle and was under the influence of cannabis.<\/p>\n
Dacey was arraigned in Perry Village Court and he was jailed on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond bail.<\/p>\n
Child protective services was also contacted due to the child being in the vehicle while Dacey was under the influence of a drug.<\/p>\n
The child was turned over to her mother Jessica Ruch, who was placed in custody and then given an appearance ticket to appear in Village Court on April 11, 2017.<\/p>\n

A Medina man was arrested again for violating an order of protection. Benishio Coger was arrested on March 9, 2017 for criminal contempt 2nd.<\/p>\n
On March 30, 2017, a Social Services worker was paying a visit when she observed Coger jump out of a second story balcony in his boxer shorts at a residence of a female he was barred from having contact with.<\/p>\n
A short time later, NYS Parks Police had placed Coger in custody on another matter and Coger was arrested at the Wyoming County Jail for criminal contempt 2nd.<\/p>\n
Coger will appear in Perry Village Court at a later date.<\/p>\n
