Five fire companies responded to 5550 School Road, Letchworth Central Schools, at 7:53a.m. Friday morning for a structure fire involving a pole barn storage building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 42’x42″x14′ tall pole barn was used to store a golf cart, a gator UTV, along with a large amount of sports equipment used at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services, a malfunctioning golf cart stored inside the building caused the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The building and its contents were a total loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No one was injured in the blaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gainesville, Bliss, Castile, Pike and Silver Springs Fire were on scene about 90 minutes. Also assisting in scene was the Sheriff’s Department and Wyoming County Emergency Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Estimated loss is $120,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
