Jacob J. Russell, 21, of Walkers Corners Rd., Byron, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 5th, a class D felony, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, criminal possession of a weapon 4th, growing a plant known as cannabis by unlicensed persons, a violation, and unlawful possession of marijuana, also a violation, after the execution of a search warrant in the Town of Byron on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Russell was arrested by members of the Genesee County Drug Task Force after the execution of the search warrant issued by Byron Town Justice Barb Smith. He was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of LSD and Psilocybin mushrooms and a quantity of processed marijuana and he was also allegedly growing marijuana.<\/p>\n
Russell was also allegedly found to be in possession of two illegal knives. A quantity of U.S. Currency was also also seized.<\/p>\n
He was arraigned in the Town of Stafford Court and jailed on on $7,500 cash bail.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.<\/p>\n
