Paul D. Hussey, 64, of Geneseo, NY, pleaded guilty in Genesee County Court on Tuesday afternoon to one count of attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a class C felony and two counts of reckless endangerment 1st, a class D felony after attempting to run over patrons at the Northgate Free Methodist Church at 8160 Bank Street road in Batavia on August 8, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hussey, who was driving on the NYS thruway, decided to make a right turn into a field while driving his SUV and hunt down four people with his vehicle who were walking on the church walking path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One victim says Hussey was threatening to kill the four church members because he said they were on his land. The group then hid in the trees, and then started running towards church as they called 9-1-1 reporting the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe car was on, he hid himself and when we continued walking he came up to me face to face and said \u201cI\u2019m going to kill you, you F\u2019n bastards.\u201d and he was claiming that this was his land,\u201d said the 70 year old victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hussey appeared with his attorney Raymond Sciarrino and admitted that he was in possession of a quantity of a controlled substance and admitted to recklessly endangering two people with conduct that caused a grave risk of death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hussey will be sentenced on October 17, 2019 at 9:30a.m. and could face 1 2\/3-5 years in prison with 1-2 years of post release supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bail was continued in the case at $25,000 cash.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
