The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a one vehicle fatal accident that occurred on Seward road in the Town of Alexander about 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
According to Chief Deputy Gordon Dibble, the Jeep was traveling north on Seward road and for some unknown reason drifted off the road and then struck a tree head on.
The driver, in his 30’s, has been identified as Jayson W. Dersham, of East Main Street Road, Batavia. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Genesee County Coronor Jeff McIntire after suffering injuries sustained in the crash.
The Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
