A Perry man was arrested following the investigation of a burglary that occurred at a residence in the Town of Castile in which checks were reported stolen and also cashed on January 23, 2017.
Mason Maha, 19, of Perry is charged with burglary 2nd and petit larceny.
Maha was arraigned before Town of Castile Justice Millilo and was released to the Wyoming County Pre -Trial Program.
He is scheduled to re- appear in the Town of Castile Court at a later date.
Deputy Mike Majtyka and Perry Police Officer Tim Bryant also assisted with the investigation.
Duane L. Archer, 44, of Columbia, Maryland, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A at Toolhouse Road in the Town of Warsaw on January 22, 2017.
Archer was stopped after being observed by police crossing the center line of the roadway multiple times and speeding while in the Village of Warsaw.
Archer was found to have one active suspension in New York State since 2014 for failure to pay a driver responsibility assessment fee to the NYS DMV.
He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, speeding in a zone, and failure to keep right.
Archer was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court where he was held on $500.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 bond.
He is scheduled to return to the Village of Warsaw Court on March 6, 2017 to answer the charges.
On January 17, 2017, Wyoming County Sheriff’s responded to South Main Street, Village of Castile, for a reported two car accident.
Upon arrival, it was found that one car had rear ended another car.
The driver and a passenger of the vehicle at fault fled the scene on foot prior to the deputy’s arrival.
Deputy Sampson spoke to an eyewitness and obtained a description of the two subjects that fled. Minutes later, a good samaritan on Glen Iris Road informed the Sheriff’ Department of two male subjects looking for a ride.
The Sheriff’s Deputy along with New York State Police responded to Glen Iris Road and located the subjects.
It was determined that they were the subjects that fled from the accident scene.
After an investigation into the incident, Jonathan Carr II, 27, of Nunda, was arrested for felony DWI. It was found that Carr II was operating the vehicle with a .11% BAC level.
Carr II is charged with felony DWI, felony operating a motor vehicle with .08% BAC or higher, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, operating without insurance, and following to close.
Carr II was arraigned and held in the Wyoming County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. He is to re-appear in court on April 3, 2017.
