BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Bank street man strangled and punched a dog then fought with police during domestic incident

Shawn M. Twardowski, 34, of Bank St., Batavia, is charged with animal cruelty, harassment 2nd, robbery 3rd, criminal mischief 4th, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest after a domestic violence incident involving a female acquaintance that lives at the same Bank street address on January 26, 2017.

Twardowski allegedly strangled and punched a dog(a beagle) and then forcibly stole the female’s cell phone and then attempted to disable it to prevent her from calling 9-1-1 for help.

When police arrived on scene, Twardowski barricaded himself in a bedroom. Once police made contact with him, Twardowski struggled with officers who were arresting him.

Twardowski was arraigned in City Court and jailed in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

 

 

Alan P. Ellis, 36, of Lewis Ave., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd, criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child and cruelty to animals after an incident on Ellsworth avenue on January 29, 2107.

Ellis allegedly pushed and grabbed victims by their throats and punched one person in the face during an argument. One person was under 17.

Ellis also allegedly threw and kicked a dog causing it to limp afterwards.

Ellis was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court by Judge Williams and released.

 

 

Grayson Jordan Albert Finnin, 20, of Seven Springs Rd., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd, obstructing emergency medical services and unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under 21 after a disturbance at a local hotel.

Finnin was transported to UMMC where he became combative with the medical staff and police officers.

Finnin was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on February 7, 2017 at 1:00p.m.

 

Willie A. Saab Jr., 42, of W. Main St., Batavia, is charged with criminal contempt 1st/prior conviction within 5 years and aggravated family offense/more than 1 prior conviction within 5 years, after he was located at a residence he was barred from on North Lyon street on January 29, 2017.

Two people at the residence had stay away orders of protection against Saab Jr.

He is being held in the Genesee County Jail without bail.

 

 

Ronald J. Murray Jr., 22, of Wood St., Batavia is charged with harassment 2nd after a domestic incident where Murray allegedly pushed another person.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on February 7, 2017.

 

Jeanna M. Hattaway, 29, of W. Main St. Rd., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny after she allegedly stole a pair of sunglasses from 7-Eleven on East Main street on January 24, 2017.

Hattaway was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on February 7, 2017.

 

 

Charles J. Rodriguez Sr., 40, of N. Spruce St., Batavia, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant issued out of City Court for petit larceny.

Rodriguez was picked up on the warrant after appearing in Buffalo City Court on an unrelated matter.

He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and jailed on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond bail.

 

 

Michael J. Antonucci, 34, of Alexander Rd., Attica, was arrested on an arrest warrant issued out of Batavia City Court for a domestic incident where Antonucci allegedly violated an order of protection.

He was arraigned in City Court and jailed on $500 cash or bond bail.

 

Nikayla C. Jackson, 19, no permanent address, Batavia, was arrested on a City Court bench warrant after she failed to appear in court as directed on a disorderly conduct charge from November 10, 2016.

 

Diane M. Fiorentino, 67, of Grandview Terrace, Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd after an investigation into a domestic incident that occurred on Grandview Terrace on November 13, 2016.

Fiorentino was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and released on her own recognizance.

 

 

Salvatore M. Schwable, 19, of Webber Ave., Oakfield, was arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court for allegedly violating the terms of his release under a supervisions agreement on December 6, 2016.

He was jailed in lieu of $2,500 cash or bond bail.
