WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Warsaw man found intoxicated on the side of the road

Michael W. Smith, 48, of Warsaw, was arrested after a check on a motorist that had pulled over to the side of the road on February 6, 2017.

Smith had pulled his vehicle over to the side of the road on Suckerbook Road in the Town of Perry when a Sheriff’s Deputy pulled up next to him to see if everything was okay.

Following a quick conversation and apparent signs of intoxication, Deputy Chase had Smith exit the vehicle and perform standardized field sobriety testing.

Smith was subsequently arrested at 6:42p.m. for DWI.

He was then transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.

Smith submitted to the breath chemical test which revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.33%, more than 4 times the legal limit.

He is charged with uninspected motor vehicle, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .18 or more.

Smith was released to the care of a third party and will return to the Town of Perry Court on March 1, 2017.

 

Shannon McDonald, 39, is charged by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Social Services with non-support of a child 2nd , for continuously failing to make regular court ordered child support payments, although he was employed from August of 2016 to December of 2016.

He is charged with one count for a case in which he owes $4,595.94 and charged with another count for a case in which he owes $25,561.56.

McDonald was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court and he was jailed on bail.
