A Perry woman has been charged after telling police that an unknown operator of a vehicle involved in an accident fled the scene as she originally reported in a June 10, 2016 accident on Fargo road in Stafford.
Nicole K. Sullivan, 31, of Covington Street, Perry, is charged with falsely reporting an incident 3rd, unlicensed operator, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd, operation of an unregistered vehicle, failure to notify DMV of a change of address, no seat belt and driving left of pavement markings.
Sullivan was found at a nearby residence on the front porch after the accident and Zachery W. Schwartz, 20, was located unresponsive in the vehicle. He was transported by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital.
Sullivan was transported by ground ambulance to Strong Hospital with head and leg injuries.
Emergency crews and law enforcement searched the area for some time after Sullivan’s claim, looking for a possible injured 3rd person who was allegedly the operator of the car.
Later that morning Sullivan admitted to police that she and Schwartz were the only occupants of the vehicle and that Schwartz was the operator.
On February 16, 2017, The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office filed charges against Sullivan alleging that she was the operator of the car at the time of the accident on June 10, 2016 and that she had provided false information concerning the details of the incident.
