The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Eric R. Brumstead, 55, of South Main street, Leicester, NY on February 28, 2017 on a Grand Jury Indictment warrant after a serious motorcycle accident on July 27, 2016 on Sumner road in the Town of Darien.
It is alleged that Brumstead was operating his Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Sumner road in Darien and failed to stop for deputies that were directing traffic following the Heart Concert at Darien Lake.
When flagged down to stop, Brumstead continued eastbound on Sumner road at a high rate of speed, failing to negotiate a curve in the road near Walker road.
Both Brumstead and his passenger, Andrea M. Farruggia, 43, were airlifted to Strong Hospital in Rochester and treated for their injuries.
Brumstead is charged with aggravated vehicular assault, driving with a BAC of .18% or more, a class C felony, aggravated vehicular assault/previous conviction for DWI in the last 10 years, a class C felony and aggravated unlicensed operation 1st, a class E felony.
Brumstead was remanded to the Genesee County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
Brandon L. Doward, 32, of Ellicott St., Batavia, is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, both class B felonies on a Grand Jury Indictment Warrant.
Doward is accused of selling of crack cocaine in the City of Batavia.
Doward was picked up by the Genesee County Drug Task Force and uniformed officers from the City of Batavia Police Department.
Tyler M. Frumusa, 20, of W. Ham Cir., North Chili, NY, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and drivers view obstructed following a traffic stop in the Town of LeRoy after the observation of a vehicle and traffic violation on February 22, 2017 on Lake street road.
Frumusa was allegedly found in possession of marijuana and was issued and appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of LeRoy Court at a later date.
