GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/LeRoy man found sleeping in a running vehicle on side of road

Brandon J. Nugent, 23, of Gilbert St., LeRoy,  is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, unlawful possession of marijuana, moving from a lane unsafely and failure to keep right after a check the welfare complaint at the intersection of Roanoke and Sweetland Road in Stafford on April 30, 2017 at 6:28a.m.

Nugent was found sleeping in the driver’s seat of his running vehicle.

A deputy woke Nugent and requested he identify himself and explain his reason for parking roadside.

Nugent then placed the vehicle in gear and drove east down Sweetland road in the improper lane. He then drove off the north shoulder of the road.

Nugent completed field sobriety tests and was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated, he was also found to be in possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Stafford Court on May 25, 2017 at 6:00p.m.

 

 

Jason W. Whitehead Jr., 19, of Batavia Oakfield Townline Rd., Oakfield, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operator, moving from a lane unsafely, expired inspection and failure to use a signal after a traffic complaint on Pratt road in the the Town of Batavia on April 30, 2017.

Whitehead was allegedly in possession of an amount of marijuana in his vehicle, he was also allegedly operating the vehicle with an expired inspection, driver’s view obstructed and was operating without a qualifying front seat passenger on a DJ permit and was operating without a license.

Whitehead was issued appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on May 25, 2017 at 1:00p.m.
