On August 3, 2017, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office located a row boat on the Tonawanda Creek in the Town of Batavia.

Jeffery R. LeFort, 35, of Maxon Rd., Attica, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and drinking alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle after a deputy stopped to check on his welfare along side of the road at 1315 Ledge road in Alabama on August 8, 2017.
LeFort was allegedly waiting for a tow truck for a flat tire on his pick up truck at the time.
He was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Alabama Town Court on October 17, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
