Jeffrey Martin, 38, of Niagara Falls, NY, was arrested following a traffic complaint on West Park Street in the Village of Castile on August 19, 2017. Deputies responded to a call of possible motor vehicle accident.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Martin did strike a mailbox with his vehicle, causing minor damage to his vehicle. Martin failed roadside field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. He submitted to a breath test which showed his BAC to be above the legal limit.
Martin is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, and moving from a lane unsafely.
He was arraigned in the Village of Castile Court, released upon his own recognizance and is to appear in Castile Court at a later date.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Matthew Wendt, 31, of Angelica on August 16, 2017, on a warrant out of Warsaw Village Court for failure to pay a fine.
Wendt was taken into custody at a residence on Water Street in the Village of Perry without incident and then transported to the Village of Warsaw Court where he was arraigned by Justice Hyjek.
Wendt was released after paying the remaining balance on his fines.
