BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Roosevelt avenue man accused of punching family dog and throwing it down several stairs

Lawrence A. Guy, 41, of Roosevelt Ave., Batavia, is charged with torturing or injuring and animal, endangering the welfare of a child and coercion 2nd after a domestic incident on Roosevelt avenue on August 29, 2017 at 8:00 p.m.

During the incident, Guy allegedly punched the family dog several times before throwing it down several stairs in the presence of children.

Guy was arraigned in City Court by Judge Rogers and held on $10,000 cash or bond. He re-appeared on August 31, 2017.

 

John R. Delara, 19, of Gilbert St., LeRoy, is charged with criminal trespass 3rd, petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana after entering unsecured vehicles in a parking lot at 90 Main street in Batavia on August 31, 2017 about 10:15 a.m.

Upon being taken into custody, Delara was found to be unlawfully possessing marijuana.

He was arraigned in City Court and jailed. He will appear at a later date.

 

A 17 year old male of Skye Rd., Tonawanda Indian Reservation, is charged with attempted assault 1st, with intent to cause serious physical injury, harassment 2nd and obstructing governmental administration 2nd after a disturbance at Burger King at 230 West Main street on August 28, 2017 at 5:46p.m.

The teen allegedly struck a person with a vehicle and then fled the scene, but was apprehended on West Main street.

He was arraigned in City Court and returned to court on August 29, 2017.

 

Miguel E. Alvarez, 22, of Maple St., Batavia, and a 16 year old male also of Batavia, are each charged with petit larceny after an incident at 390 West Main street, Tops Supermarket, on September 9, 2017 at 10:20 p.m.

Batavia Police attempted to speak with the Alvarez and the 16 year old who appeared to be concealing 30 packs of beer, however, upon approach, they ran and were later taken into custody.

It was determined the beer and pizza that was found in one of the subjects pants was stolen from Tops.

They were issued appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on September 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

 

 

Michael J. Difalco, 29, W. Main St., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property 5th after allegedly selling property that he knew to be stolen at Pawn King at 4140 Veterans Memorial Drive on August 28, 2017.

Difalco was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court and jailed on $500 cash or bond bail. He is due back in court on September 19, 2017 .

 

 

Khala L. Ray, 18, of Ridge Rd., Gasport, NY, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and driving with no headlamps after being observed traveling south on Ross street without any headlights on August 26, 2017 at 1:55a.m.

Ray was found to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state and was issued uniform traffic tickets. Ray will appear in City Court on September 13, 2017 at 9:00a.m.

 

Tyler M. Hughson, 22, of Hawthorn Dr., Albion, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and speeding in a zone after a traffic stop on East Main street on September 1, 2017.

Hughson was allegedly speeding and was found to be intoxicated.

He was released and will appear in City Court on September 13, 2017.

 

Christopher S. Bump, 22, of Briarwood Ter., Batavia, is charged with false personation after an investigation into a suspicious vehicle complaint on Pearl street on August 27, 2017 at 7:30p.m.

Bump provided police with a false name and was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on September 19, 2017 at 1:00p.m.

Bump was then turned over to the Warsaw Police on a warrant.

 

Ronald P. Dixon, 38, of Pearl St., Batavia, is charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument and other drug paraphernalia after police responded to a disturbance at 310 East Main Street on September 8, 2017 at 1:10 a.m.

Dixon was arraigned in City Court and released on recognizance.

He will appear in City Court again on September 13, 2017 at 12:30 p.m.

Dixon was also arrested on a bench warrant from May of 2017 for failing to appear.

He was arraigned and jailed on $2,000 cash or bond.

 

 

Anthony A. Leone, 49, of Jackson Ave., Batavia, was arrested on a warrant for trespass after an incident on Ellicott street on August 15, 2017.

Leone was processed and released and will appear in City Court on September 12, 2017 at 1:00p.m.

 

 

Tatiana C. Lugo, 22, of Batavia, was arrested on two bench warrants for failing to appear on February 15, 2017 in an incident on Hutchins street and April 24, 2017 after and incident on James street.

She was located in Rochester by police and then turned over to Batavia Police on August 30, 2017.

Lugo was arraigned in City Court and jailed on $2,500 cash or bond bail. She appeared in court again on September 7, 2017.

 

 

Rachell O. Soggs, 29, of S. Swan St., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of City Court for allegedly failing to appear on September 1, 2017.

Soggs was arraigned in City Court and released on recognizance. She appeared in court on September 7, 2017.

 

 

Henry L. Banks, 47, of Ross St., Batavia, was arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court after he failed to appear on a misdemeanor traffic charge on August 25, 2017.

Banks was released on his own recognizance and re-appeared on September 5, 2017.

 

Julio C. Morales Jr., 32, of Upton Rd., Batavia, was arrested on a City Court warrant on September 4, 2017 and is currently being held in the Genesee County Jail on $250 bail.

Morales had originally been arrested for theft of services in February of 2015 and was released on an appearance ticket at the time, but he never appeared in court.
