ORLEANS COUNTY/Albion/Rochester man jailed after drug arrest

ON OCTOBER 5, 2017, AFTER AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN FROM THE CITY OF ROCHESTER TO THE ALBION AREA, THE ORLEANS COUNTY MAJOR FELONY CRIME TASK FORCE AND THE ALBION POLICE DEPARTMENT ARRESTED A ROCHESTER MAN ON SALE AND POSSESSION CHARGES AFTER A VEHICLE STOP ON EAST STATE STREET IN THE VILLAGE OF ALBION, N.Y.

POLICE ARRESTED:

  • TROY L. DUKES, AGE 24, OF  POST AVE., ROCHESTER N.Y., HE IS CHARGED WITH:

2 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL SALE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE.(CLASS B FELONIES).

2 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE.(CLASS B FELONIES).

2 COUNTS OF UNLAWFULLY DEALING WITH A CHILD IN THE FIRST DEGREE.

THE UNLAWFULLY DEALING 1ST CHARGES STEMS FROM TWO, TWO YEAR OLD CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT OF THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME OF THE VEHICLE STOP AND HIS ARREST, DUKE’S DRIVER’S LICENSE WAS ALSO SUSPENDED 19 TIMES AND HE FACES FURTHER CHARGES.

DUKES WAS ARRAIGNED IN THE TOWN OF SHELBY JUSTICE COURT, BY THE HON. DAWN KEPPLER, AND WAS COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL ON $50,000.00 CASH OR $100,000.00 BOND. DUKES IS TO RETURN TO TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT ON 10/10/17 AT 9:00 A.M.
