STATE POLICE/Warsaw/Inmates arrested after assault at Attica Correctional

On November 15, 2017, New York State Police, Warsaw arrested the following inmates for their recent criminal activity occurring within the Attica Correctional Facility.

Inmate Pedro Ramos-Roman, 37, and inmate Joshua Nieves, 24, both currently housed at Southport Correctional Facility, Pine City, were arrested for Assault 2nd, Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, all class D felonies.

On March 4, 2017, both inmates Ramos-Roman and Nieves were housed at the Attica Correctional Facility and they attacked another inmate with an unknown edged weapon in the “A” Yard causing the victim to suffer severe facial slashes and damaged teeth.

Ramos-Roman and Nieves are both serving a sentence for Manslaughter 1st out of Erie County.

Inmate Albert Marrone, 45, currently housed at Southport Correctional Facility, Pine City, was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, both class D felonies.

On June 4, 2017,  Marrone was found to have an edged plastic weapon secreted on his person in “B” Block when he was randomly selected for a pat frisk during a mass Inmate Movement.

Marrone is serving a sentence of Criminal Sale of a controlled Substance 3rd and Burglary 2nd out of Oneida County.

All inmates were arraigned in Wyoming County Court in front of Judge Michael M. Mohun. They were returned to the custody and control of NYSDOCCS and will return to Wyoming County Court on January 17, 2018.
