ON DECEMBER 8, 2017, AFTER AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF CRACK COCAINE CONDUCTED BY THE ORLEANS COUNTY MAJOR FELONY CRIME TASK FORCE, THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF PAROLE AND THE ALBION POLICE DEPT.. TASK FORCE MEMBERS SEIZED A QUANTITY OF CRACK COCAINE PACKAGED FOR SALE AT 135 NORTH MAIN ST. ROOM 3, IN THE VILLAGE OF ALBION, N.Y.
AS A RESULT, TASK FORCE MEMBERS ARRESTED AN INDIVIDUAL ON A POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL DRUG CHARGE. THE INDIVIDUAL IS CURRENTLY ON NEW YORK STATE PAROLE FOR A PREVIOUS DRUG CONVICTION.
POLICE ARRESTED:
· KENNETH L. THOMPSON, 52, OF NORTH MAIN ST., ALBION N.Y., IS CHARGED WITH:
1 COUNT OF CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE.(CLASS B FELONY).
THOMPSON WAS ARRAIGNED IN TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT, BY THE HON. JOSEPH FULLER, HE WAS COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL ON NO BAIL DUE TO HIS PREVIOUS CRIMINAL HISTORY. HE IS TO RETURN TO THE TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT ON 12/13/17 AT 9:00 A.M.
A PAROLE DETAINER HAS BEEN FILED WITH THE ORLEANS JAIL BY THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF PAROLE. FURTHER CHARGES ARE ALSO PENDING IN THIS CASE.
