Joseph J. Cavico Jr., 49, of Albert Street, Rochester, was arrested by the LeRoy Police Department on December 16, 2017 at 12:17a.m. in the Village of LeRoy.
It is alleged that during a violent domestic disturbance, Cavico struck the victim numerous times about the head after threatening the victim with both a pistol and a knife.
Cavico is charged with the A-Misdemeanors of assault in the 3rd degree and menacing in the 2nd degree.
During the initial investigation, a .357 Pistol was located and seized which was allegedly possessed unlawfully by Cavico as the pistol was defaced with the serial number removed. Cavico was further charged with the D-Felonies of willful defacement of a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree which was defaced for concealment.
Cavico was arraigned in the LeRoy Town Court and committed to the Genesee County Jail without bail. This investigation is ongoing.
Roberta A. Goodman, 50, of East Main Rd, LeRoy, was arrested by the LeRoy Police Department on December 17, 2017 and charged with one count of DWAI/drugs, an unclassified Misdemeanor.
This charge stems from a traffic complaint on June 20, 2017 about 12:48 p.m. in which it was alleged that Goodman was driving her vehicle while unable to maintain her lane and almost striking objects. It was later determined that Goodman was allegedly impaired by the use of prescribed medications. Goodman was issued a uniformed traffic ticket to appear in the LeRoy Court on January 18, 2018.
Kimberly White, 28, of Wyoming Road in Wyoming County, was arrested by the LeRoy Police Department on December 13, 2017 and charged with one count of petit larceny, an A-Misdemeanor.
This charge stems from a complaint and investigation dated May 16, 2017 when it was alleged that White and an alleged accomplice entered a pharmacy in the Village of LeRoy and stole $319 worth of Hydroxycut supplements. White was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the LeRoy Court on January 18, 2018.
