GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Man involved in domestic incident on Washington avenue arraigned on felony drug charges

Eddie L. Miles Jr., AKA “Pops”, 46, of Washington avenue, Batavia, was arrested on a Grand Jury Indictment Warrant on January 7, 2018 for allegedly selling a quantity of crack cocaine on two occasions to an agent of the Genesee County Drug Task Force.

Miles is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, both class B felonies.

Miles was arrested following an unrelated investigation by the Batavia Police Department into a domestic incident and structure fire on Washington avenue.

Miles was arraigned in Genesee County Court Monday morning January 8, 2018 and committed to the County Jail.

Task Force members were assisted in the investigation by the Genesee County District Attorney’s Office.

 

 

Jonathan R. Hyman, 45, of Drake St., Oakfield, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate and unlawful possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Rt. 5 in the Town of Batavia on January 6, 2018.

Hyman was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on January 28, 2018.
