Buffalo, New York– Michael Swartz, MPA, FACHE has been selected to be the interim health care system director for VA Western New York Healthcare System and will assume the position on January 29, 2018. Currently Mr. Swartz serves as the Director for the Bath and Canandaigua VA Medical Centers.
He replaces Paul S. Crews, who has completed his detail as interim health care system director since October, 2017 and returning to his position as Deputy Director, VA San Francisco Health Care System.
VA Western New York Healthcare System includes Buffalo and Batavia VA medical centers and eight Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and employs over 2,200 employees who care for over 60,000Veterans.
