PRESS RELEASE
On February 21, 2018, New York State Police, out of SP Warsaw arrested the following seven NYSDOCCS Inmates for their recent criminal activity within local facilities.
Inmate DONOVAN STEPHENSON, age 26, currently housed at Attica Correctional Facility was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st for his August 1, 2017 possession of a quantity of synthetic marihuana within the facility. Inmate STEPHENSON is serving a sentence for Burglary 1st, Robbery 1st, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, out of Schenectady County.
Inmate TYRICE ROLAND, age 27, currently housed at Southport Correctional Facility, Pine City, NY, was arrested for Assault 2nd, Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd for his April 21, 2017 edged weapon assault on another inmate at Attica Correctional Facility that occurred in the “A” Yard. Inmate ROLAND is serving a sentence for Attempted Murder 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd out of Nassau County.
Inmate SALAUDEEN ROOTS, age 38, currently housed at Elmira Correctional Facility, Elmira, NY, was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, and Tampering with Physical Evidence for his June 30, 2017 possession of an edged metal weapon that had been secreted on his person that occurred in “C” Block in Attica Correctional Facility. Inmate ROOTS is serving a sentence for Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th out of Albany County.
Inmate JAMEL CLARK, age 40, currently housed at Elmira Correctional Facility, Elmira, NY, was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd for his September 27, 2017 possession of an edged plastic weapon that had been secreted on his person that occurred in “C” block in Attica Correctional Facility. Inmate CLARK is serving a sentence for Assault 1st out of Albany County.
Inmate CLIFTON SEYMORE, age 33, currently housed at Auburn Correctional Facility, Auburn, NY, was arrested for Assault 1st, (2 counts), Assault 2nd, Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd for his August 1, 2017-edged weapon assault on another inmate. SEYMORE is serving a sentence for Attempted Murder 2nd, Assault 1st and Aggravated Criminal Contempt out of Suffolk County.
Inmate CARLOS ONEAL, age 27, housed at Wende Correctional Facility, Alden, NY, was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd for his October 6, 2017, possession of an edged metal and plastic weapon secreted on his person occurring within “C” Block at Attica Correctional Facility. Inmate ONEAL is serving a sentence of Attempted Assault 2nd out of Livingston County.
Inmate GYASI JOSEPH, age 26, currently housed at Five Points Correctional Facility, Romulus, NY, was arrested for promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd for his October 6, 2017 possession of an edged metal plastic weapon secreted on his person occurring within “A” Block at Attica Correctional Facility. Inmate JOSEPH is serving a sentence for Robbery 1st and Criminal Sexual Act 1st out of Kings County.
