The complaint of a road race on Sherman Avenue in the Village of Wyoming led to the arrest of two men.
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area following the report of two vehicles racing on a residential village street, and after an investigation, David M. Snyder, 31, of Wethersfield and Kevin J. Snyder, 26, of Wyoming, were both arrested.
The incident occurred on February 28, 2018.
Kevin Snyder is charged with one count of unauthorized speed contest, a misdemeanor, and was released.
David M. Snyder, who was currently on felony probation, and had a suspended NYS identification card, was charged with unauthorized speed contest, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, and unlicensed operation. David Snyder was arraigned in Middlebury Town Court where he was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash bail or $10,000.00 bond.
Two people were arrested following a traffic stop on Route 19A near Fuller Road in the Town of Gainesville on March 11, 2018.
Mitchell Newville, 56, of Silver Springs, was the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado which was pulled over for erratic operation and crossing over both the centerline and white fog line multiple times.
Newville was arrested after performing poorly during field sobriety testing. He is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or higher, and failure to keep right. Newville was released to a family member and is scheduled to answer the charges on March 26, 2018 in the Town of Gainesville Court.
Lori Tallman, 47, of Castile. the front right passenger in Newville’s vehicle, was found in possession of an open alcohol container and marijuana. Tallman was physically resistant and refused orders during the incident. Tallman is charged with obstruction of governmental administration 2nd, unlawful possession of marijuana, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. She was released to a family member and is scheduled to answer the charges on April 23, 2018 in the Town of Gainesville Court.
