WYOMING COUNTY/Overheated wood stove vent pipe cause of fire in Wethersfield

An overheated wood stove vent pipe is the cause of a Saturday afternoon fire at a residence on Horton road in the Town of Wethersfield.

Six fire companies responded to 5860 Horton Road, the Patricia Konka residence, about 3:54p.m after a call for a reported house fire.

Crews from Bliss, Pike, Gainesville, Castile, Arcade and N. Java were on scene about two hours.

Estimated loss in the fire is $5,000 and no one was injured.
