GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Rochester man charged with possessing untaxed cigarettes with intent to sell

Bin Chen, 32, of Wangman St., Rochester, is charged with possession for purpose of sale of 30,000 or more untaxed cigarettes, criminal tax fraud act 3rd and failure to stop at a stop sign after a traffic stop on Alleghany road in Alabama on March 23, 2018 at 1:29a.m.

An investigation revealed that Chen allegedly possessed more than 30,000 untaxed cigarettes in the vehicle, which he intended to sell.

Chen was arraigned in Alabama Town Court on released on recognizance.

He will re-appear in court on May 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.

 

 

Daniel E. King, 41, of Phelps Rd., Pembroke, is charged with sex offender failure to change address within 10 days following an investigation where King allegedly failed to register his new address within the ten day state regulation on February 4, 2018.

King was arraigned  in the Town of Pembroke Court on March 24, 2018 and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice.

He will re-appear in court on April 5, 2018 at 1:00p.m.

 

 

Jacob J. Russell, 22, of Walkers Corner Rd., Byron, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon with previous conviction and unlawful possession of marijuana after a probation check on March 22, 2018.

After a search of the residence, a switchblade knife and 5 marijuana smoking devices containing marijuana were located.

Russell was arraigned in Byron Town Court and is being held on $20,000 cash bail and $40,000 bond.

He is scheduled to re-appear in Byron Town Court on April 2, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
