WYOMING COUNTY/Arcade woman investigated for fraudulent charges to a family member’s checking account

Christine M. Barr, 20, of Arcade was arrested on April 19,2018, following a larceny investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies investigated fraudulent charges to a family member’s checking account and found that Barr had taken the account information to place money onto a credit card for cash withdrawals. This was occurring since the middle of January and the transactions accounted for a loss of more than $7,000.

Barr is charged with identity theft 1st, a class D felony, grand larceny 3rd, a class D felony, unlawful possession of a personal ID 3rd, a class A misdemeanor, and criminal impersonation in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Barr was arraigned in the Town of Arcade Court and committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Barr will answer the charges in Town Court at a later date.
