STATE POLICE/Buffalo man charged after almost striking a State Police vehicle in Pembroke

On May 27, 2018 at 12:38 A.M., Troopers out of State Police in Batavia arrested Alexander H. Koch, 23, of Buffalo, NY for driving while intoxicated, failure to stop/yield at an intersection, and failure to notify DMV of address change.

Troopers reported that Koch made a left turn from Snipery Rd. on to Route 33, failing to yield and pulling out in front of Troopers patrolling State Route 33 in the Town of Pembroke. Troopers had to make evasive maneuvers to avoid a collision with Koch, who was subsequently was stopped on State Route 33 in Pembroke.

Troopers determined Koch consumed alcohol prior to driving. Koch was arrested after failing Field Sobriety tests and transported to State Police Batavia where he provided a breath sample of .09 BAC.

Koch was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Pembroke Court for June 2018.
