Five dogs were rescued after a fire at a residence at 7230 Telephone road on Monday afternoon.
A sixth dog, named Lucky, a Jack Russell Terrier, is still missing and is believed to be wandering in the area. Also believed to be missing are five cats who also may be in the area wandering.
Eight fire companies responded to the scene from Genesee, Wyoming and Livingston counties. The structure is a total loss.
No one was at home at the time of the fire and investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
