STATE POLICE/Warsaw/Warsaw man jailed without bail after traffic stop in Castile

On August 6, 2018, State Police/Warsaw Troopers arrested Scott P Carmichael, 54, of Warsaw, NY, for DWAI-Drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana and several traffic infractions.

During a traffic stop for several traffic violations on Route 39 in the town of Castile, Troopers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from Carmichael’s vehicle. Troopers administered Field sobriety tests and Carmichael was then taken to State Police/ Warsaw for an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).

Carmichael was processed and arraigned in the Town of Castile court. Carmichael was remanded to Wyoming County Jail without bail. Carmichael will return to the Town of Castile court on August 27, 2018.

 

 

On August 1, 2018, SP Warsaw Troopers arrested Joseph B. Sciolino, 29, of Buffalo, NY, for DWAI- Drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding.

During a traffic stop for speeding. while operating on Rt. 20A in the Town of Sheldon, Troopers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from Sciolino’s vehicle. Troopers administered field sobriety tests and Sciolino was then taken to State Police/Warsaw to be evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).

Sciolino is charged with driving while ability impaired, unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding.

Sciolino was issued appearance tickets returnable to Sheldon Town Court on August 20, 2018.
