GENESEE COUNTY/Oakfield woman indicted after threatening a person with a knife

Jennifer A Roskey, 37, of Oakfield, has been indicted and accused of the crime of  criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, a class D felony.

Roskey allegedly possessed a kitchen knife with an 8 inch blade with intent to use it against another person in the Town of Oakfield on July 14, 2018.

The second count of the indictment accuses her of menacing 2nd, a class A misdemeanor, intentionally  placing or attempting to place another person in reasonable fear of physical injury, serious physical injury or death by displaying a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument on the same date and location mentioned above.

In count three, Roskey is accused of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, for knowingly acting in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of a child less than 17 at the same location and date mentioned above.

Count four further accuses Roskey of reckless endangerment 2nd, a class A misdemeanor. On July 5, 2018, while in a private vehicle on Rt. 90 in Erie County during a trip which extended from Genesee County to Erie County, Roskey allegedly recklessly engaged in conduct which created a substantial risk of physical serious injury to another person.

Count 5, 6, 7, accuses Roskey of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor. On or about July 5, 2018, Roskey allegedly knowingly acted in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental or moral welfare of a child less than 17 years old while in a private vehicle on Rt. 90 in Erie County during the trip mentioned above.

Roskey was previously convicted of the crime of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, an E felony, on September 23, 2015 and the conviction forms a basis for count one in the indictment.
