PERRY POLICE REPORT/Churchville man charged in traffic stop

On September 22, 2018, officers Spink and Prusak of the Perry Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple equipment violations.

The driver of the vehicle, 20 year old Cody Sharpstene of Churchville, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and possession of a hypodermic instrument.  During a search of his vehicle, it was discovered that Sharpstene had in his possession, one hypodermic instrument, one bag of marijuana and a controlled substance.

Sharpstene was also ticketed for equipment violations.

He was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court in front of Honorable Judge Errington.  Sharpstene  was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash, $2,000 bond. Sharpstene will return to court on October 2, 2018 at 1:00pm in Perry Village Court to answers the charges.
