STATE POLICE/Albion/Cashiers at convenience stores charged after allegdly selling beer to people who are underage

On Friday, October 26th, State Police in Albion conducted a detail focusing on the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors by local convenience stores throughout Orleans County. Troopers observed cashiers at area stores selling beer to an underage individual without properly checking for identification showing the person purchasing the beer was 21 years old.  The detail resulted in the arrest of cashiers at four local stores with each being charged with a violation of section 65-A of the New York State Alcoholic Beverage Control Law.

Arrested were:
Brittany L. Cole, 28, of Kendall, NY
Employed by Crosby’s, 16825 State Route, Kendall, NY
To appear in the Town of Kendall Court on November 12th at 5:30 pm.

Ruth E. Young-Powley, 20, of Albion, NY
Employed by Murray Superette, 16573 State Route 104, Holley, NY  
To appear in the Town of Murray Court on November 14th at 5:30 pm.

Dylan J. Bader, 20, of Albion, NY
Employed by JP’s Farm Market, 16672 State Route 31, Holley, NY
To appear in the Town of Murray Court on November 14th at 5:30 pm.

Charles J. Andrews, 27,  of Albion, NY
Employed by Crosby’s, 202 North Main Street, Albion, NY
To appear in the Town of Albion Court on November 13th at 9:00 am.
