WYOMING COUNTY/Three Buffalo residents charged in residential burglary in Java, jewelry, electronics and firearms were stolen

On November 7, 2018, three Buffalo residents were arrested following the investigation of a residential burglary that occurred in the Town of Java in July 2018 in which jewelry, electronics, and firearms were taken.

David Lepage Jr., 39, his brother, Mathias Lepage , 23, and Cynthia Aponte, 26, all from Buffalo, N.Y. ,were each charged with burglary 2nd and grand larceny 3rd. All three were arraigned in the Town of Java Court before Justice Carl Heterbring and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Cynthia Aponte was released on pre-trial probation, Mathias Lepage was committed to jail on $25,000 bail and David Lepage Jr. was committed to jail on no bail. Both David and Mathias are currently incarcerated at the Erie County Holding Center on unrelated charges.

Deputy Amy Nowak, Deputy Brad McGinnis, Deputy Dan Kemp, Forensic Technician Steve Miller, East Aurora Detective Darrin Longboat, and NFTA Inv. Chris DiPasqual all assisted with the investigation and some of the stolen property was recovered.
