NYS POLICE/Albion/Medina man gives false name during traffic stop

On November 5, 2018, Troopers out of State Police/Albion stopped Coley R. Doward Jr., no age provided, of Medina, in the town of Shelby for speeding.

Troopers say Doward was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication.

When asked to do field sobriety tests, Doward became uncooperative and evasive towards state police units on scene.

Further investigation revealed Doward provided a false name and identity to patrols due to his NY driver’s license being revoked from a previous DWI conviction. Doward was placed under arrest and transported to the State Police barracks in Albion for arrest processing. Doward recorded a .15% BAC.

He was arraigned at the town of Ridgeway court and remanded to the Orleans County jail in lieu of $250.00 cash bail.
