According to the Batavia Town Board, Countrymax will be moving into the old Office Max location on Veteran’s Memorial Drive.
“We just got informed by our inspection department that Countrymax has initiated the application process to occupy the building and will be getting permits, they have not submitted anything yet,” says Greg Post, Town Supervisor/Town of Batavia.
According to Councilman Dan Underhill, they will begin renovations as soon as the Halloween Store moves out.
Countrymax currently has locations in Brockport, Spencerport, Geneseo, Henrietta and Farmington.
They had previous locations in Batavia, both on East Main street.
“There is a lot in the pipeline,” says Post.
“We may be out of developable land and we may have to generate another industrial park.”
Post says there are 2-3 projects going on in Gateway II and Gateway I is filled up. The Agri-Business Park is close to being filled up with three potential developments possibly in the next three years.
“We could be filled up in a year.”
