GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Tracy avenue man allegedly attempts to smuggle drugs into the jail

Jason E. Jones, 44, of Tracy Ave., Batavia, is charged with introducing dangerous contraband into prison 1st and criminal possession of a controlled substance after allegedly smuggling drugs into the Genesee County Jail while in custody with intent to utilize them while incarcerated.

The incident occurred at 14 West Main street on November 20, 2018.

Jones was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the jail and will return to court at a later date.

 

 

Julie M. Neale, 37, of Alexander Rd., Alexander, NY, was stopped on Oak street in the City of Batavia on November 16, 2018, following an observation of vehicle and traffic violations.

After an investigation, it was determined that Neale was allegedly operating her motor vehicle while her ability to do so was impaired by drugs.

Neale is charged with DWAI/drugs, driver’s view obstructed, uninspected motor vehicle and failure to keep right.

Neale was processed at the jail and released on appearance tickets.

Neale is scheduled to appear in City Court on November 27, 2018 at 1:00p.m.
