GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Man accused being under the influence of drugs while operating his electric scooter in a department store

Adam B. Thomas, 29, of S. Main St., Batavia, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and public appearance under the influence of a narcotic drug after allegedly operating his electric scooter inside the Target Store on Veteran’s Memorial Drive in an intoxicated condition.

Dispatchers received a complaint on of an intoxicated male operating an electric scooter inside the store and causing a disturbance on December 28, 2018 at 10:19a.m.

Deputies arrived on scene and initiated an investigation.

After an interview, it was determined that Thomas was allegedly under the influence of a narcotic drug. Following a search, it is alleged that Thomas possessed a powdered substance that tested positive for Fentanyl that was located on his person.

Thomas was transported to the Genesee County Jail for fingerprints and photographs and issued an appearance ticket. He will appear in Batavia Town Court on January 17, 2019 at 1:00p.m.

Matthew H. Pape, 27, of Lockport Rd., Oakfield, is charged with criminal contempt 1st following an investigation of a domestic incident that occurred on Lockport road in Oakfield on December 29, 2018.

Pape allegedly struck another person in the head with a door causing physical injury. Pape also violated an order of protection issued out of Oakfield Town Court.

He was arraigned in Oakfield Town Court and jailed in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. Pape is due back in court on January 4, 2019 at 10:00a.m.

Zachary E. Brazzell, 20, of Alabama St., Medina, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, no inadequate headlamp and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on River street in Batavia on December 30, 2018.

Brazzell was issued appearance tickets and will appear in City Court on February 6, 2019 at 9:00a.m.
