ORLEANS COUNTY/Albion woman jailed without bail after an investigation into the sale and distribution of cocaine

ON FEBRUARY 5, 2019, AFTER AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE IN THE VILLAGE OF ALBION, THE ORLEANS COUNTY MAJOR FELONY CRIME TASK FORCE,ALONG WITH THE ALBION POLICE DEPT., ARRESTED AN ALBION WOMAN, DAWN M. READ ON SEVERAL SALE AND POSSESSION CHARGES.

POLICE ARRESTED:

* DAWN M. READ, AGE 47, OF EAST BANK ST., ALBION N.Y., IS CHARGED WITH:

3 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL SALE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE(CLASS B FELONIES).

3 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE(CLASS B FELONIES).

READ WAS ARRAIGNED IN TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT BY THE HON. GARY MOORE, SHE WAS COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL WITHOUT BAIL DUE TO HER PREVIOUS CRIMINAL HISTORY.

READ IS TO RETURN TO THE TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT ON FEBRUARY 12, 2019 AT 9:00 A.M.

FURTHER ARRESTS AND CHARGES ARE PENDING IN THIS INVESTIGATION.
