The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office investigated a domestic incident that occurred on Youngers Road in the Town of Eagle between Kenneth Pleace, 41, and an adult female on February 5, 2019. After an investigation, Pleace was placed under arrest for criminal contempt 1st, strangulation 2nd and attempted assault 2nd.
He was transported to the Arcade Village Court for arraignment due to Eagle Court no being available for arraignment. Pleace was arraigned in front of Judge Burton and was held at the Wyoming County Jail with bail set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond.
Judge Burton issued a full stay away order of protection. Pleace returned to court on February 11, 2019 at 5pm in Eagle Town Court.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Warsaw Police Department, executed a Wyoming County Supreme Court Warrant of Arrest on Nicolas A. O’Connor, 28, of Martinville Road in the Town of Warsaw on February 6, 2019.
O’Connor was wanted for violating treatment court conditions, and was found inside a residence hiding behind a bed.
The owner of the residence, Brittany L. Preen, 32, who was O’Connor’s girlfriend, was arrested and charged with hindering prosecution 3rd.
Preen hid O’Connor in her residence and lied to police about it while they were executing the warrant. Preen was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Warsaw Town Court on February 11, 2019.
Tracy L. Steffenhagen, 48, of Arcade, was arrested following a one vehicle property damage motor vehicle accident on Bixby Hill Road in the Town of Arcade on February 5, 2019.
Steffenhagen was operating her 2005 Chevrolet Colorado when she drove into the ditch on Bixby Hill Road. Steffenhagen failed field sobriety testing at the scene, and she was also found to have open containers of alcoholic beverages inside her vehicle.
Steffenhagen was arrested for DWI and taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was subsequently charged with DWI, driving with .08% BAC or higher, moving from a lane unsafely, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Steffenhagen was released to a family member and scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Arcade Court on February 14, 2019.
