A Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputy was on patrol when they located a vehicle stopped roadside on Hathaway Road. The Deputy stopped to investigate and found a male occupant in the front passenger seat who was unresponsive and not breathing.

Other adult occupants inside the vehicle had not called for help, and they told the Deputy the male was fine. The Deputy pulled the male out of the vehicle and administered intranasal Naloxone, a drug used to reverse opioid overdoses. The male began to breathe after several minutes and regained consciousness after approximately 7 minutes. He was transported to the Wyoming County Community Hospital by Silver Springs Ambulance where he was treated and released.

Later in the incident, a second male from the same vehicle began to overdose while in police custody. He was transported by Medic 80 to the Wyoming County Community Hospital where he was treated and released.

Two children, ages 5 and 6, were in the back seat of the vehicle.

Perry Police Department officers responded to the scene to assist, and the Perry Central School Resource Officer assisted with removing the children to a safe place. New York State Park Police and New York State Police from the Warsaw Barracks also responded to assist at the scene.

An adult male, Marco Ramirez, 23, of Geneseo, was in the rear seat of the vehicle with the children. He was found in possession of suspected Fentanyl, a crack pipe, a rolled up dollar bill with white residue, a hypodermic syringe, and other drug paraphernalia. Through investigation, it was found that while police were reviving the male overdosing, Ramirez had taken the bag of suspected Fentanyl and hid it on his person to prevent police from locating it.

The driver of the vehicle was Amanda Dalrymple, 28, of Perry. She was found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl, multiple partial doses of Buprenorphine (Suboxone), and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested at the scene for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. A Drug Recognition Expert from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a drug influence evaluation with Dalrymple and determined her ability to operate a vehicle safely was impaired by multiple categories of drugs.

A third male passenger in the vehicle, Quinn Pritchard, was found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl, Marihuana, and drug paraphernalia.

  1. How stupid can people (parents be)? I just cannot believe this. I people want to.mess
With crap like this do it on your own time DO NOT bring the little kids in on it.

  2. I don’t understand how the good samaritan law (even though they didn’t call for help) didn’t at least stop them from getting the drug charges when they were obviously overdosing which is when the good samaritan law comes into play, it literally makes no sense. I get the other charges but overdosing while having drugs on you is supposed to protect you from getting a drug charge….
