The terms for two Board of Education positions, those held by Peter Cecere and Karen Tomidy, are ending. Both seats are for three-year terms, beginning July 1, 2019- June 30, 2022.
Petitions for those interested in pursuing a School Board seat are available as of today, March 12, 2019, and are available at the District Administration Offices located at 260 State street at Batavia High School. Their hours are Monday-Friday 8:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
Petitions must be returned to the Business Office at the District administration wing at Batavia High School by May 1, 2019 , before 4:00p.m.
Tuesday May 21, 2019 is voting day for the two positions along with a vote on the District Budget.
On Tuesday May 7th at 7:00p.m. in the library at Batavia High School, the 2019-2020 budget will be presented to the public. The process for developing the budget has been ongoing since October of 2018, says Scott Rozanski, Business Administrator for the District.
By May 6th, the formal budget document will be available for public review on the District website at www.bataviacsd.org
