WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/North Java woman charged after allegedly driving while intoxicated with a three year old in the vehicle

Valerie Marcheson, 22, of North Java, was arrested following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Royce Road in the Town of Sheldon on March 9, 2019.

Marcheson had been operating her vehicle north bound on Royce Road, and drove into the ditch. Marcheson had a three year old riding as a passenger in the vehicle. Marcheson was found to allegedly be intoxicated.

She is charged with DWI as a class D felony, aggravated DWI, driving with a child less than 16 in vehicle as a class D felony, failure to keep right, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Marcheson refused to take a chemical test and her driver’s license was suspended. Marcheson had been convicted of DWI and driving with a BAC above 0.08% previously in the last ten years. Both convictions were from the Town of Arcade Court.

Marcheson was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court and committed to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. She is to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court on March 18, 2019.

North Java and Varysburg Fire Department’s assisted at the scene. The child was not injured.

On March 4, 2019, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Olivia Kosinski , 27, of Arcade, and charged her with attempted assault 2nd and criminal mischief 4th.

Wyoming County Sheriff’s responded to the area after receiving a call from the victim that she had just been assaulted. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the victim was 67 years in age. Deputies were advised that the suspect, Olivia Kosinski, was 27 years of age. Due to the age of the victim and age of the assailant, this increased the charge from an assault 3rd to felony attempted assault 2nd.

Kosinski was arraigned on the charges in Arcade Town Court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $2500/5000bail.

Kosinski will return to court at a later date.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office arrested Donald S. Robinson, 26, of Silver Springs, and charged him with aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree following a traffic stop on East Perry Avenue in the Village of Silver Springs on march 4, 2019.

Robinson was observed exceeding the village speed limit and the vehicle was stopped.

During the stop, it was found the vehicle was uninspected and the driver was currently suspended.

Robinson was arrested and issued citations for aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, speed in zone and uninspected motor vehicle.

Robinson is to answer the above charges on March 18, 2019 at 6:00p.m. in the Village of Silver Springs Court.

Elizabeth M. Kaufman, 24, of Tonawanda was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon pm on March 9, 2019. Kaufman was stopped after check of the vehicle’s registration showed it was expired.

During the roadside interview, the odor of marijuana was detected and emitting from within the vehicle. Following field sobriety testing, Kaufman was placed under arrest for DWAI Drugs.

Kaufman was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where she underwent a drug influence evaluation by a Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office Drug Recognition Expert. Kaufman was determined to be impaired by drugs and unable to operate a vehicle safely.

Kaufman is charged with unregistered motor vehicle, failure to change address on license and registration, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Kaufman was released to a third party and will return to the Town of Sheldon Court on April 2, 2019.
