GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Batavia man busted for stealing vacuum cleaners

Joey A. Evans, 28, of State St., Batavia, is charged with petit larceny after being spotted allegedly stealing two Dyson V6 vacuum cleaners from Wal-Mart in the Town of Batavia on March 16, 2019 at 4:03p.m.

According to scanner reports, Evans dumped the two vacuum cleaners behind the former Office Max store and took off into a wooded area where law enforcement caught up with him.

Evans was arraigned in the Batavia Town Court by Judge Williams and released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to re-appear in court on April 9, 2019 at 3:00p.m.

Mary E Bruton, 63, of Gilman Rd., Churchville, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and stopping, standing or parking on a highway on Park road on March 17, 2019 at 10:32p.m.

Bruton was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Batavia Town Court on April 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Lee G. Ezzell, 64, of Genesee St., Darien, is charged with harassment 2nd after allegedly striking another person with an open hand in the back of the head on March 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. on Genesee street.

Ezzell was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Darien Town Court on April 2, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.

Pablo A. Cintron Guzman, 18, of Central Ave., Batavia. is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Park road on March 17, 2019 at 4:54p.m.

Guzman was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in Batavia Town Court on April 4, 2019 at 1:00p.m.
