WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Bliss man charged after accident

On March 18, 2019 Guy Donnelly Jr, no age provided, had gone off the roadway on Route 39 in the Town of Arcade.

A Wyoming County Sheriff Deputy arrived on location shortly after the accident. After an investigation the Deputy arrested Donnelly Jr. for driving a motor vehicle while impaired by a drug. He was then transported to the Arcade Police Department to undergo a drug influence evaluation by a certified drug recognition expert. It was the DRE’s expert opinion that Guy Donnelly Jr. was impaired by a CNS Stimulant, CNS Depressant and Narcotic Analgesic and was unable to operate a motor vehicle safely.

Donnelly Jr. was charged with driving while ability impaired by drug, driving while ability impaired by drug-special and failure to keep right. He is to appear at Arcade Town Court on May 9 , 2019 to answer for the charges.

Michael Hawkins, 23, of Attica, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon on March 24, 2019 at 2:09a.m..

Hawkins was stopped for an equipment violation.

He failed road side sobriety tests, and he was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Hawkins submitted to a breath test which showed his BAC to be over 0.08%.

Hawkins is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of 0.08% or more, inadequate plate lamp, and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle. He was issued appearance tickets and is to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court on April 2, 2019.

Chad W. Main, 37, of Warsaw, was arrested at 94 North Main Street in the Village of Warsaw on a Wyoming County Superior Court warrant for a violation of probation on March 22, 2019.

Main was arrested without incident and taken to the Wyoming County Jail where he was held until the next available session of Wyoming County Court.

Barry L. Gurganus, 40, of Warsaw, was arrested by Deputy Nicholas Wright of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop on Route 20A in the Town of Perry on March 20, 2019.

Gurganus was stopped for a headlight violation and during the traffic stop, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Gurganus was issued appearance tickets for inadequate headlamps and unlawful possession of marijuana. The citations are returnable to the Town of Perry Court on April 17, 2019.

Russel Gantt Jr., 19, of Glenardin, Maryland, was arrested following a traffic stop for speeding on Route 20A in the Town of Orangeville on March 17, 2019.

Gantt Jr was stopped by deputies after being observed traveling 80mph in a marked 55mph zone. During the traffic stop, it was found that the vehicle Gantt Jr was operating was displaying a switched NYS Inspection Certificate.

Gantt Jr. is charged with speeding (80mph/55mph), uninspected motor vehicle, and displaying a forged inspection certificate. Appearance tickets were issued returnable to the Town of Orangeville Court on May 1, 2019.
