The Stafford Historical Society hosted Cindy Amrhein, Wyoming County historian and researcher on Wednesday night at the Stafford Town Hall.
Amrhein discussed researching the history of your home and talked about several historical homes in the GLOW region that she has researched in recent years.
Amrhein shared information that she uncovered on the Livingston County Poorhouse, the Barre Tavern in Orleans County, the Traver Estate in Perry, an abolitionist home on Middle Reservation road in Castile and on 123 Bank street in Batavia involving the murder of Johnson Lynch by E.N. Rowel in 1883.
