A one car roll over in the Town of Java led to the arrest of Jack R. Boltz of Lancaster, NY on April 4, 2019.
Boltz was operating a 2011 Jeep Patriot northbound on Prescott Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with Route 98. Boltz lost control of his vehicle, traveled through the intersection and across Route 98. Boltz’s vehicle then left the roadway and rolled. It was later determined that Boltz had been using his cell phone at the time of the crash.
Boltz was not injured in the crash. He was arrested and taken to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with DWI, driving with .08% BAC or higher, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle while using a portable electronic device, failure to stop at stop sign, speed not reasonable and prudent, and moving from a lane unsafely.
Boltz was released to the Wyoming County Community Hospital on an unrelated condition, and he is scheduled to answer the charges on April 17, 2019 in the Town of Java Court.
Shaun T. Grimmelt, 51 of Alden, was arrested following a traffic stop by Cheektowaga Police Department April 7, 2019. The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office met with Cheektowaga Police in East Aurora where Grimmelt was turned over to Wyoming County custody.
Grimmelt was wanted on an outstanding Wyoming County Child Support Warrant.
He was arraigned in the Town of Orangeville Court where he was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $3,000.00 cash bail or $6,000.00 bond. Grimmelt is being held in the Wyoming County Jail until the next available session of Wyoming County Family Court.
Jonathan M. Allard, 30, of Portageville, was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Eagle on March 27, 2019
Allard was observed failing to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Telegraph Road and Centerville Road and was found to be operating with 5 suspensions on his license.
During the arrest, Allard was found to be in possession of half an ounce of marijuana and several cartridges of concentrated cannabis. He is charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, operation outside of restrictions, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, unlawful possession of marijuana, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Allard was arraigned in the Town of Eagle Court and released on his own recognizance with a return date of April 29, 2019.
Salvatore F. Faliero, Jr., 55, of Franklinville, was arrested following a shoplifting complaint at Tractor Supply in the Town of Arcade on March 29, 2019.
Faliero was alleged to have stolen a Peg Perego Razor 900, an electric children’s ride on toy, valued at $485.99.
An arrest warrant was signed for Faliero’s arrest, and on April 3, 2019, Faliero turned himself into the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
Faliero was arraigned in Wyoming County Court where he was released on his own recognizance and scheduled for further court proceedings in the Town of Arcade Court on April 11, 2019.
