GENESEE COUNTY/Batavia man jailed without bail after allegedly selling crack cocaine

Robert O. Taft, 45, of State St., Batavia, is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, both class B felonies, after an investigation into the sale and possession of crack cocaine in and around the City of Batavia.

Taft allegedly sold a quantity of crack cocaine to an agent of the Genesee County Local Drug Task Force on two separate occasions.

Taft was arrested on May 16, 2019. He was arraigned in Genesee County Court and jailed without bail.

UPDATE: Bail has been set at $20,000 cash and $40,000 bond after a court appearance in Genesee County Court on May 17, 2019.
